There have been recent reports of fraud and scams involving individuals who claim to be either a High Court Enforcement Officer (HCEO), Certificated Enforcement Agent (CEA) or bailiff.
During these calls, members of the public will either be given a sort code and bank account number and be asked to transfer a sum of money or asked to provide their bank account number and sort code.
You should NEVER transfer any money or provide your bank details in these circumstances.
Instead, you should contact the relevant enforcement company that the individual claims to be employed by or, in the case of someone claiming to be a HMCTS bailiff, your local county court.
